Late Sunday evening I completed the last of the two book reviews which were overdue. Praise the Lord! I'm a little sleepy today, but I am happy to be caught up. This week promises to be a busy week, but I will just simply take one step at a time.
On a different note, my family and I were able to watch some of the Suns vs. Wizards game that was on ESPN last night. The Suns won 108-107. Being from Arizona, my family and I are HUGE fans of the Phoenix Suns. We try to catch as many games as we can that are on national TV. Are you a Suns fan? What do you think of the Suns signing Shaq?
Last year the Suns had a slogan - "Eyes on the Prize". The idea was that the Suns were focused on winning the NBA Championship. Even though they did not win the NBA Championship, they did not lose sight of that goal. The same can be said of our Christian walk.
Hebrews 12:1-3 reminds us, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
Keep your "eyes on the Prize"!
